Celebrating Anisa as She Was Accepted into the Propeller Program

We are beyond thrilled to share the exciting news that our very own Anisa Parks has been accepted into the 2024 Propeller Impact Accelerator Program! This marks a momentous milestone not only for Anisa but also for the entire Headliners NOLA Salon family.

Propeller, a leading accelerator in New Orleans, has a long-standing tradition of empowering entrepreneurs across various sectors to drive positive change in the community. This year’s cohort is diverse, with ventures in Early Childhood Education, Construction and Landscaping, Health and Wellness, Community Economic Development, and Food. Within this group, Anisa is making waves in the Community Economic Development sector, representing Headliners NOLA Salon.

Propeller’s focus on community economic development includes supporting entrepreneurs who operate brick-and-mortar businesses and those dedicated to improving the operating environment for BIPOC entrepreneurs. It’s in this crucial area that Anisa, alongside other inspiring entrepreneurs like Torrie Jakes of jakes aesthethics and Lauren Lewis of The Cosmetology Institute, is poised to make an impact.

For those who may not know, Headliners NOLA Salon, co-founded by Anisa and her wife Erica, is more than just a salon. It's a space rooted in celebrating and empowering the Black community, with a particular focus on locs and natural hair care. The salon has become a beacon of inclusivity, diversity, and excellence, reflecting the values of its founders.

Anisa’s acceptance into the Propeller Accelerator is a testament to her vision, hard work, and dedication to not just growing Headliners NOLA Salon but also to uplifting the broader community. Through this program, she will have access to resources, mentorship, and a network of like-minded entrepreneurs, all of which will undoubtedly help propel the salon to new heights.

We are incredibly proud of Anisa and can’t wait to see the growth and innovation that will come from this experience. Her participation in the Propeller Accelerator Program will not only enhance the services we offer at Headliners NOLA Salon but will also allow us to continue our mission of empowering our community.
